    ******Aftercare Instructions******

Following these aftercare steps is crucial for achieving beautiful, long-lasting results:

    First 24 Hours

    • Gently blot your brows with a clean tissue every 15–30 minutes to remove excess lymph fluid. This prevents scabbing.
    • Avoid washing your brows directly.

    - Oily skin should be cleansed every 30 min for the first 3 hours (6 times in total) after the procedure using a damp cotton (clean bottled water) and washing hands before each cleaning.

       - Dry skin should be cleansed every hour for the first 3 hours (total of 3 times).

       - Right after the last wipe apply a thin layer of Aquaphor Healing Ointment (available for purchase in any grocery store, in the kids section).

       - Before bed, oily skin may be washed using warm water and very gently removing the lymph. Then gently dry and apply ointment.

       - Dry skin may not be washed if the skin does not have visible lymph on top of it, just make sure your skin is moist before going to the bed.

    Days 2–7

    • Cleaning:
      • Wash your hands thoroughly before touching your brows.
      • Gently cleanse the brow area with a mild, fragrance-free cleanser and lukewarm water. Pat dry with a clean tissue.
    • Moisturizing:
      • Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor Healing Ointment that you can purchase at any drugstore, twice a day, using clean fingertips. Do not overapply.

     - Oily or dry skin may be washed one more time if the skin eliminated lymph during night. Then gently dry and apply thin layer of ointment. If no lymph visible then just keep the eyebrows hydrated with the ointment as needed (when you feel the skin is dry).

Days 3 onward (until the scabs are gone):

    - Everyone’s skin has its own healing process and duration. It is recommended to apply ointment as long as the skin is still scabbed, and even after. The ointment will help your skin regenerate faster and better.

       - AVOID water (for the PMU area), makeup, excessive sweating, sauna, pools, sunbathing, do not PEEL the scabs at all (you may cause scarring if otherwise).

       - Do NOT apply anything besides Aquaphor ointment such as Vaseline, antibiotic creams, Neosporin etc. Grapeseed oil may be used to substitute Aquaphor.

       - During 4 weeks after the procedure it's better to not use creams that contain acids or ingredients that will lighten or exfoliate the skin

    General Care

    • Do not pick or scratch: As the skin heals, it may flake or scab. Avoid touching, rubbing, or peeling the area to prevent pigment loss or infection.
    • Avoid makeup: Refrain from applying makeup to the brow area for at least 10 days.
    • No sweating: Avoid intense exercise, saunas, or hot yoga for 10 days to keep the area dry.
    • Protect from water: Be cautious when showering to prevent excessive water from soaking the brows.

    Long-Term Aftercare

    • Sun protection: Apply sunscreen (once healed) to prevent fading.
    • Avoid exfoliants: Do not use retinoids or chemical exfoliants on the brow area to maintain pigment longevity.
    • Touch-ups: Schedule your touch-up appointment within 4–8 weeks for the best results.

    Healing Process Expectations

Your brows will go through different stages:

    1. Days 1–3: Brows appear darker and bolder than expected.
    2. Days 4–7: Flaking or peeling begins; the color may lighten significantly.
    3. Days 7–14: The skin heals, and the color softens into its final shade.

    Additional Notes

    • Each person’s skin heals differently. Follow these instructions closely to ensure proper healing.
    • If you experience excessive redness, swelling, or signs of infection, contact your artist immediately.

    Lip Blushing Aftercare Instructions

    Lip Blushing Aftercare Instructions

    First 24 Hours

    • Blot the lips gently: Use a clean tissue or cotton pad to blot your lips every 30–60 minutes to remove excess lymphatic fluid. This prevents the formation of thick scabs.
    • Do not get your lips wet: Avoid drinking directly from cups without a straw. Be cautious during eating or drinking.
    • Avoid touching your lips: Do not touch or apply anything to your lips unless recommended by your artist.

    General Aftercare (Days 1–7)

    Cleaning and Moisturizing

    1. Cleanse your lips gently twice a day:
      • Use a damp cotton pad or a clean cloth with lukewarm water to gently cleanse the area.
      • Pat dry—do not rub.

    1. Apply aftercare ointment:
      • Use a tiny amount of the provided or recommended Aquaphor ointment (only) 3–5 times a day to keep the lips hydrated.
      • Do not overapply, as this can suffocate the area and delay healing.
      • Do not apply anything besides Aquaphor (such as Vaseline, antibiotic creams, Neosporin etc.).

    Activities to Avoid

    • Do not pick, scratch, or peel: As the lips heal, they will flake or scab. Let the scabs fall off naturally to avoid scarring or pigment loss.
    • Avoid excessive moisture: Do not soak lips in water—avoid hot showers, swimming pools, saunas, or steam rooms.
    • Limit sun exposure: UV rays can affect pigment retention and healing. Use SPF balm (once healed) or wear a hat for protection.
    • Avoid smoking or alcohol consumption: These can dry out the lips and slow down the healing process.
    • No makeup or skincare products: Keep cosmetics, lotions, or creams away from the lips until fully healed.

    Dietary Precautions

    • Drink with a straw: This helps avoid unnecessary moisture on the lips.
    • Avoid spicy, salty, or acidic foods: These can irritate your healing lips. Opt for soft, mild foods during the first few days.
    • Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your body and lips hydrated.

    Healing Process Overview

    1. Day 1–2 (Initial Healing)
      • Lips will appear bold, swollen, and darker than the final result.
      • Swelling should subside within 1–3 days.

    1. Days 3–4 (Flaking Stage)
      • Flaking or peeling will begin as the scabs naturally fall off.
      • Avoid picking at peeling skin to prevent uneven pigment loss.

    1. Days 5–7 (Color Fades)
      • Lips may look uneven, pale, or patchy as the pigment settles into the skin. This is normal.

    1. Weeks 2–4 (Final Results)
      • The true color will emerge after full healing. Results will be soft and natural, typically about 30–50% lighter than the initial color.

    Long-Term Aftercare

    • Hydrate regularly: Use a high-quality lip balm to maintain hydration and pigment longevity.
    • Protect with SPF: Use lip products with SPF to prevent fading from sun exposure.
    • Avoid exfoliants: Do not use retinoids, glycolic acid, or other chemical exfoliants on your lips, as these can strip pigment over time.
    • Touch-ups: Schedule your follow-up appointment in 6–8 weeks for a touch-up and to perfect any inconsistencies.

    Signs of Concern

While slight tenderness, redness, or swelling is normal, contact your artist or a medical professional if you notice:

    • Excessive swelling, redness, or pain
    • Pus or yellow discharge (signs of infection)
    • Severe allergic reactions, such as hives or difficulty breathing

By following these steps, you’ll enjoy beautifully healed lips with long-lasting results! Let me know if you have questions or need further clarification.
